Experiment 1: Modelling Transdermal Vaccination

Module: Health and Medicine

The first experiment in this module allows students to model transdermal vaccination and visualise what happens when materials are applied on the surface of and through skin. Dye is placed on a Velcro strip, and applied to a supermarket fillet of chicken; students can then track the movement of the dye into the layers of skin and subcutaneous tissue.
