Researching Carbon
Module: Carbon Nanotubes
Activity 1
In this activity students learn about the different allotropes of carbon, their importance and uses. Students complete a general table researching the allotropes of carbon, a task which can performed as a class activity or as a homework assignment. The aim is for students to appreciate that atoms of the same element, arranged in different ways can result in markedly different properties.
